She could find anything just as long as it was
lost and was not broken. “The Finder”, that was the name given to her. Every
now and then people would come to her asking for help to find their lost possessions.
But there were rules. The missing object must have some strong feeling attached
to it and she had to endure that feeling while looking for the thing. Sometimes
the feeling lasted only for a second but sometimes it took hours. One day an
old woman came to her to find an old photo album. The Finder closed her eyes
and focused on finding the album. She could see how the album looked like so
she knew it was intact. She focused more and she could look inside the album.
There was a black and white picture of 2 young girls, holding each other’s
hands and smiling at the camera. But the Finder suddenly felt overwhelmed with
nostalgia. She longed for friendship. She longed for someone to confide all the
small little detail of her day. She longed for someone to tell them what she
was feeling. She felt utterly lonely despite having so many faces around her.
She missed one specific person to fill that loneliness which no other person
could fulfill. Well everyone has a special place in our lives when a person leaves
that place can not be taken by another. With tears in her eyes and pain in her
heart The Finder told the old lady where she can find the album.
